What is your Objektiv?
In English, Objective has the following definitions:adjective
- (of a person or their judgment) not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts.”historians try to be objective and impartial”
- a thing aimed at or sought; a goal.”the system has achieved its objective”
In German, objektiv is the word for ‘camera lens.’ At the core of Objektiv Digital is the amalgamation of all three of these words:
- Performing objectively superior quality of services while
- pursuing your objective
- through our objektiv.
The reason we say ‘through our objektiv’ – through our camera lens, is because, at the end of the day, the best any designer can do is capture your vision. We can never truly know your objective through your minds’ eye. We feel that this acknowledgement exemplifies how we operate, candid honesty. The recognition that nothing and no one is infallible.
Pursuing your objective
Everyone at Objektiv Digital is an artist. Illustrators, fibre artists, poets, writers, designers, engineers, and more. We thrive from creative expression.
We’re not here just to collect a paycheque. We’re here to pursue our passions and make an impact in the world with everything we do.
To be blunt, we know our shit. Part of confidently knowing our shit is admitting when we don’t. Admitting there’s a problem is the first step to a solution, and we are solution-driven.
This ties back to passionately – we work our asses off because we love what we do and truly believe that what we do matters.
Wherever possible, we love to insert our sense of humour. A pun here, a rhyme there, and maybe, just maybe, a dash of humour in your entire communication strategy. Ask us. We dare you.
Much like we respect the design process, we have a great degree of respect for scientific discovery. When venturing into the unknown, we thrive off of hypothesizing, experimentation, and analysis.
When science fails us, it’s easy to fall into superstitious habits. Instead, we choose to trust our instincts and intuition to guide us. If it doesn’t feel right, we’re giving it a hard pass.
We live in a world of ever-increasing multitudes of culture. Business culture, nerd culture, outrage culture, horticulture, the list goes on. Okay, maybe one of those things isn’t a culture, but you get the idea. We interact with each other, our clients, and the public with the recognition that we have no way of knowing what someone’s background may be.
Always be kind, you never know who will be saving you tomorrow. Without question, we set our boundaries. However, we feel that meeting hostility with kindness gently guides assailants to becoming cooperators.
